The BIG windy

Hello Farm Friends,

On April 10, 2009 our farm was hit by an F3 tornado which destroyed all 4 of our hoophouses, completely demolished our hen house and damaged the barn across the road belonging to my Father in law. Many trees were uprooted, snapped or twisted from their bases. We have a good attitude and plan to rebuild, but the damage was extensive and will take some time to overcome and get back to normal life as far as the farm is concerned.

For those of you who would like to help with clean up efforts we appreciate you and the next time I post we will have details about an organized clean up day. We are still listing things that will need repair and waiting on our insurance company to come view the damage (don't jump on their case, Mboro was hit so hard they are dealing with HOME claims before farm claims). The next time I post we will have a plan together...we thank you in advance for your prayers for our family as we recover.

ON-Farm Market Not sure when we will re-open
Thanks to those of you who have taken advantage of our on farm market the past few weeks. We are not sure when we will be back open for orders. Some of the crops are ok and are still in the ground and growing while others are destroyed. I will send out a newsletter when we are open for business again.
